I will be speaking at meshed#1 in Linz this month. Topic: strategies in using social networks, cases and future development of advertising in light of emerging media. Following is the official statement from meshed#1:
Although the use of Social Media and Online-Marketing is constantly growing and exeeding, there are still companies that are not in use of it. Out of this, the idea of holding a conference on these topics was born, that illuminates and lightens the decision making for companies: The meshed#1 wants to explain, impart knowledge, give insights and disclose perspectives. The conference focuses on understanding the current social networks and deriving an adequate portfolio of action for a target-oriented operating inside the social networks.
The meshed#1 takes place on 28th and 29th of May at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz. The lectures of experts and the Hands-On-Workshops offer the attendees an insight in how they can use Social Media and Online-Marketing for their own purpose. The exchange happens between acknowledged Social Media experts and representatives of economy and sciences. The meshed#1 wants to highlight the impact and relevance of social networks in relation to society and economy in order to anticipate future development.Companies are often positively surprised by the sucess and output of Social Media and Online-Marketing. Mag. Albert Ortig, founder and business manager of Netural Communication, explains: “Social Media and Online-Marketing are currently in need of explanantion just like the term “Internet” in 1998.
